About Danny

I’m a writer specializing in music & culture writing, and audio journalism. I’m a graduate of Temple’s Klein College for Media Studies and Production, a writer for Atwood Magazine, and host the podcast Automated Beat Machine, a show about oddities and untold stories in the music world. In the past, I’ve worked with Grammy winner Denny Somach (Ah Via Musicom, Eric Johnson) on The Rock Podcast. Right now, I’m based in Philadelphia, PA, and I love the city's resurgent culture (but I’ll travel).

Social and environmental justice play a role in most of my work, and I’m attracted to stories that give me a chance to platform figures in these spaces. I’m also deeply interested in themes of loneliness and alienation in the internet age.

Aside from all that, I have approximately five million instruments, two of which I can play competently, like getting my bod blasted around in mosh pits, and talk a lot about cities and how we live.
